Art That Sparks -Joy!

Howdy! I’m Kinley B. Robertson, an artist and educator based in the Four States area (MO, AR, OK, KS). I paint portraits from a place of joy, create sculptural work from curiosity, and teach with intention.

In the classroom, I care about student agency and helping learners trust themselves and their ideas. As a graduate student in art education, I’m also interested in how economics shows up in the art room, especially the ways students actions showcase their individual valuations, their choices, and intended meaning in their work.

In my studio, I love painting the things people treasure. My favorite part of commissions is highlighting what matters in someone’s life, whether it is a pet, a person, a place, or a small moment that feels important.

I believe any who approach the arts should find them to be welcoming and full of life, and I try to bring that spirit into everything I make and everything I teach.
